Cartoons I like them no more

I really miss cartoons like tom and jerry.I was grown up on cartoons like Heidi,Tom and Jerry and the like. Those cartoons where constructive and had some message. The message was conveyed well. They were made with moral values in mind. These days there is so much of violence in cartoons. Some of them are nothing but unnecessary blood shed. Even the newer kid versions of tom and jerry has more violence in it than the older version. The idea is to glorify martial arts but actually it is being defamed because i is being used when not necessary. The most irritating aspect about present generation cartoons is that it always characterizes a girl to be entirely stupid and ugly but when she is transformed by her super natural power becomes beautiful and brainy. Please gimme a break. Also a point to be noted is that though she has powers she cannot handle things on her own, she needs a crowd of minimum two and maximum of how much ever you can imagine to help her get to her goal. I wish the animated entertainemnt world would cook some new recipes than trying to make do with the martial art broth which has by now become overcooked.

The dark lady of DNA :Rosalind Franklin

An awesome book by Brenda Maddox. The book doesn't use complex words and yet gives a lively narration of the life of Rosalind Franklin.Intricate details from Rosalind's childhood till her death has been taken care of. The book even tells the layman that scientists especially succesful ones can be fashion savvy. The book makes one feel that one needs to use their potentials and achieve something in life.It also nails the point into ones head that one should stay focussed on the goal to be achieved and not be heart broken by incidents(no matter how big they are). It also makes one think of ethical issues in science. Though it is improper to say who was right or wrong(I think those who have read the book or know rosalind can figure out what I am talking) it is a fact to be accepted that she was never given credit for her work.

Nanotechnology in drug delivery

Nanotechnology is a buzz word in almost all aspects of science and engineering.some scientists believe that it has immense potentials while some believe it's a hype that isn't gonna last for long.Well,I do beleive in its potentials and what interests me the most are its applications in the area of drug delivery. To be more specific ,Nano drug delivery in oncology is my area of interest.Let us all hope that nano drugs could down the future replace the painful chemoherapeutic method of treatment
