I was looking at my blog page as a friend wanted to see the before PhD version of me. I could not recollect what my last entry was and when I did read it made me smile. The post was about me wanting to go back to asia which was after my first 6 months in France. During my second 6 month stay I got more comfortable with the language and when I reduced my expectations, the experience was much better. Who would have imagined I would land again in Paris, France for my post PhD work and the Paris I hated during my first visit. Having moved around France in the past 6 years I can say the country grows onto you. It has its quirky ways but it has a charm to it. Yet again I will be moving in a few months and this ones going to be difficult even though I have a better reason to look forward to.
